UNSOC DIALOGUES

Launched in the 2022/23 academic year, UNSOC Dialogues is a flagship project that gives students the opportunity to raise social awareness and to be more involved in what the society does. The project is a system of 4 different services that you will all be able to engage with and contribute to. We hope you all get involved and make the most of the opportunities that we are offering!

World Conversations

First up, we have our very own podcast - World Conversations! World Conversations will be running bi-weekly episodes, organised by our fantastic Podcast Team. We’ll be inviting analysts and field experts, including those from our partner organisation Polis Analysis, to tackle fake news and to tell us the truth on the ground.

A Global Review

Next, we have our publication - A Global Review! This will be an opportunity for you all to get involved in what the society does. You can apply to write summaries of our events, record highlights of our conferences, or even write your own topical pieces on current affairs. Most importantly, we will be working with Polis Analysis to collaborate on research and reports that will be published to both of our publications. Apply to contribute to A Global Review here.

Outreach Weekly

Thirdly, we have Outreach Weekly - our weekly outreach project where we give other societies the opportunity to use our platform to raise awareness of important issues. If you are part of another society and have a topic that is important to your society, you will be able to use our platform of over 2100 followers to raise awareness of this.

Iris Talk

And finally, we're partnering with the discussion platform app, Iris Talk. This fantastic app will give you the opportunity to discuss current affairs in private conversations between 5 to 6 people. In the community that we have set up, we will provide prompts for topics of conversations, and then we will give you the opportunity to write and publish summaries on the discussions that you have. Sign up to the app here.
