Model United Nations
Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations in which participants take up roles as delegates from various countries and then investigate, debate and develop solutions to global problems.
#TeamLSE is the LSESU United Nations Society’s Model United Nations team. We proudly represent LSE at an international level, and have acquired the title of ‘Best European University Model United Nations team’ for LSE. We also host two annual and large-scale conferences: LSEMUN and LSE YouthMUN. As a team, we develop our members' public-speaking, lobbying, negotiations, research, and policy-writing skills through weekly trainings. Our members are passionate and competent individuals, reflecting a high quality and standard of diplomatic skills, winning a total of 74 awards in the 2018 – 2019 academic year alone. In organising conferences, Secretariats for our two annual conferences are drawn from our members and they gain valuable experience in event-planning and execution as they shepherd hundreds of domestic and international attendees.

The grass-roots focused branch of UNSOC which empowers members to awareness and fundraise for the causes they care about. Having worked closely with the Raising and Giving Society of the LSE Student Union this year, we have attended several fundraising stalls and awareness-raising activities. As one of our initiatives, we proudly hosted the ambitious week-long event titled 'Sustainability Week' to raise awareness on environmental issues and the importance of sustainability in the modern world.
